Bill Murray Co Founder
My electric journey started at Hinkley Point nuclear power station. I was a trainee administrator in the marketing and publicity departments. I was in awe of the power station in all its glory. Having studied at the University of Brighton and then worked as a journalist and in PR for over 20 years I’ve now reached my Nirvana – vehicles and power!
Having had a lifelong love of motoring my EV epiphany came in 2012 when I first encountered electric vehicles in the Brighton to London RAC challenge. I think they had a Prius, a very early Tesla and an electric van from Mercedes that was capable of around 40 miles on an eight hour charge. But it was enough to whet my appetite and drive me to start the London to Brighton electric vehicle rally. Now on its third year and with Paris as the final destination next year Current PR will be at the forefront of all we achieve.
Current PR was born out of the love of all things sustainable and renewable. Our Net zero goal is never far from our minds at the agency – We intend to look after brands and companies that fit our ethos and promote them ethically and viably through our self built network.

At the age of 14, I began my electric journey. I have always been fascinated by machines and gadgets, which led me to EVs. When I first saw a video of a BMW i3 being released on YouTube, I was quite interested in learning more about it and how it operated. The idea that a car could run entirely on electricity astounded me.
I did exhaustive research on that car until there was nothing left. Then I switched to Tesla, which amazed me even more! Fast forward to when I was 16 years old and desperately trying to learn how to drive so that I could get behind the wheel of an electric car. I finally bought a Renault Zoe. I was hooked.
Having finished college, I went ahead and began an internship with Octopus Electric Vehicles in the marketing division. I learned a lot in a short amount of time and realised that this was what I wanted to do, marketing and events in the EV industry.
For a few months, I started working with the London to Brighton electric vehicle rally squad. Bill Murray, my former boss, then made me an offer to launch Current PR alongside him. So here we are today, Bill Murray, with his marketing expertise. And myself with my knowledge of electric vehicles.

Following the success of the last two electric vehicle rallies, L2BEVR have appointed Current PR to be their official PR agency going forward. This will include the London to Brighton – Brighton to Paris, Dublin to Belfast and more upcoming international EV events. We have been liaising with sponsors to create commercial partnerships and opportunity’s, raising awareness of the event using traditional and digital media, and managing all event logistics including running the event on the day. We look forward to working with L2BEVR on future rallies.
